About

Theresa M. Siglar was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Truman State University (formerly Northeast Missouri State). She earned her law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and later received a Master’s degree in Taxation from American University.

After working in criminal trial practice in Missouri, she moved with her military husband for a few years before settling back in the Midwest, in Lincoln. She passed the Certified Public Accountant examination and worked for both a Fortune 500 hospitality company and a large accounting firm in property tax valuation and appeals.

She began her Nebraska law practice in 2002, specializing in bankruptcy, as well as civil and criminal trial practice. She brings specialized skills in assisting clients with filing personal and small business bankruptcy cases, particularly those involving valuation issues or tax obligations. To date, she has filed over 800 debtor bankruptcy cases for clients across Nebraska.
